The Bourton Races and Rock and Roll Night - Presented by Gee Jay Entertainments
Venue: The Plough Inn, Little Bourton
4.00pm - Races Start in the car park weather permitting.
A fun filled interactive alternative to the normal film based Race Nights. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPONSOR A RACE CONTACT GEOFF JENNINGS. There will be a Tote.
early evening BBQ with the usual Plough finess
7.30pm Rock and Roll Party (fancy Dress Optional) A tried and tested Set with all the old favourites from the 50's and 60's.
ADMISSION FREE - there will be a small charge for the food and we will be running a raffle for the Celebration Funds. Bar Open throughout.

On the first friday of the month- General Knowledge Quiz @ The Plough Inn, Little Bourton.
4 persons per team max.

In May I organised a meeting to see what people wanted to do if anything to celebrate the Jubilee next year. I dropped flyers to each household in Great and Little Bourton I trust you all got one.
The meeting was well attended although I must say a Great Bourton Presence was missed.
We watched a video of the Celebrations that I organised at Old Manor Farm in 2002 to Celebrate the Golden Jubilee and everyone had a good laugh, normally at my expense!
The general concensus was that we organise something similar next year and I am currently working on some proposals. Please keep an eye on this page for future postings.
Those attendiing the meeting felt that a street party in Foxden Lane although a nice idea would be over complicated and to involved to organise.
I have written to Old manor Farm with a view to meeting and discussing what, where, when and if they can accomodate us next year as they did in 2002.
