Thanks to Tony & Chris Wilson who took these photos in May 2009 during a visit to Greys Court, situated between Nettlebed and Henley on Thames.
This is a NT property which looks well worth a visit. The Wisteria is said to be more than 100 years old.

The Quarry Garden, Bagington.
This superb garden, created in 1982 in an abandoned quarry, is at it's best when the profusion of Rhododendrons and Azaleas are in full bloom. Much the best time to visit is mid May; these photos were taken in late May when they were just past their best. This garden is much larger than it appears to be and is well worth a visit but timing is critical.

Double Sanguinaria "Duplex"

A very rare Double Sanguinaria. Flowers in mid April before leaves. Requires a damp, shady situation with acid soil. This one is mulched annualy with leaf mould and has now, after 8 years, grown from a single shoot into a clump about 18" in diameter.
