Barn Dance raises £960!
Posted by Julie Tomlin on Aug 25 2009The Barn Dance was a huge success and a happy village affair, held on a fine warm evening, with live music played until midnight. Supporters contributed generously to the raffle and tombola and a number of participants gave their services and time free of charge. The final profit of £960 is divided between Multiple Sclerosis and Leukaemia Research Charities and All Saints Church. A huge thank you to Susan Townsend, Secretary of All Saints PCC, who conceived the idea and worked hard with a small group to produce a very enjoyable event. Thanks go to Freya and Frank for use of their premises and help in making the organisation easier, Tom, Chris, Ian Paul and Bill who provided a caller and live music, Jeff Jennings and Paul Hart for large tenting, Straw Bales lent by Brian Cannon, with multiple help from Simon Bull. Thanks also go to Oliver Cooper, Toby Cooper, Nathan Young, Michael Price and Sean Jackson who carried out stewarding and many odd jobs throughout the evening.
