Great Bourton Playarea will be Closed from 24th October to 3rd November.
Posted by Julie Tomlin on Oct 16 2011After a long wait, work is now going to be done to remove the high voltage electrical power lines over Great Bourton playarea.
The substation will be moved to the pole in Mr Boddington's field, and the power cables buried underground. A new protected cable will link the field pole to the pole at the playground entrance to serve the adjoining houses. The playground must be closed whilst this work takes place. The timing is unfortunate but it is the only time that was available in the power company's schedule!
The playarea will be closed from 24th October to 3rd November.
Remember there is another excellent playarea in Little Bourton, and please enjoy that whilst the work takes place.
