Thanks to Fairport Convention

Now that the last line of cars and VW camper vans has left the Bourtons a note of thanks to Fairport Convention for yet another injection of money into Parish funds from the sale of tickets to villagers. Many, like me, used the new path to Cropredy for the first time over the Fairport weekend. It was certainly a lot easier and safer than our walk in previous years, and without Fairport monies it would not have been built. Some have voiced opinion that it could have been built to a different specification, but in the current funding climate building a path at all is a wonder! So, Fairport Convention, thanks for another good festival in our part of the world and thanks for your continued support to the Bourtons. And thanks to the Parish Council for seeing the path to completion in time for us to use it for Fairport 2011...
