Vacancies on the Parish Council - Can you help?

Posted by Julie Tomlin on Nov 23 2010

Bourtons Parish Council seeks a parish councillor to join a team of 5 others in a role that benefits the area where you live.  Come and make a difference!  If you have thoughts on how things can be improved, want to help in that improvement and be involved in the villages in which you live, please ring the Chairman, Sally Leszczynski, (or any of the Parish Councillors) for more details.  (Telephone Sally on 750555)

The role is voluntary, involves meeting up once a month for 10 months of the year, and some follow up on items raised.  It is a friendly team (sorry in advance for some of the jokes!) and one committed to doing the best it can for the Bourtons.  It can be a frustrating job - we have the responsibility but not the authority sometimes, and often have to rely on the support of those at District and County level to deliver what we want to achieve.  But when things work it is rewarding!

So if you have skills we need, whether practical, intellectual, legal, or analytical, we would love to have you as part of this team.  We have some major projects that need support - so if the footpath to Cropredy, or bus shelters, or public transport or any other project you have seen in the minutes is of interest to you, why not come and help make it happen....

This Parish Council really does need you!
