Friday, August 5th, 2011 - Sport and General Knowledge Quiz
A fun quiz with a serious twist. All proceeds will go to The 2012 Jubilee Celebrations Fund. The serious twist is a cash prize special round, the team who gets all the questions correct wins, if no one wins we will roll it over to the next quiz (when the prize fund reaches £100 it must be won). We will run a monthly friday night quiz for the Jubilee fund.
If anyone fancies themselves as a quiz writer and would like to compile a quiz for one of the months then please contact Geoff Jennings.

Saturday, 27th August, 2011 - The Bourton Races and Rock and Roll Night
Presented by Gee Jay Entertainments. A race Night with a difference. The races will start at 4.00pm in the plough car park (weather permitting). This is not your usual film based races but an interative race event using a floor mat. There will be a TOTE. There will be a BBQ early evening followed by a great tried and tested set by you know who! The unforgetable sounds of the Rock and Roll era. Elvis, The Beatles, Bill Haley and many more! Why not come in Fancy Dress (optional) and help create the atmosphere.Teddy Boys, Pink Ladies, Danny just some ideas.
There is no entry fee but we will be running a raffle to raise funds for the 2012 Jubilee Celebrations Fund.
The Royal Wedding - April 29th, 2011

Oh we did it again, another fantastic village day. I think it fair to say that we celebrated Will and Kates big day in style, its a shame they couldn't be there to enjoy it with us. Thankyou to everyone who joined in and congratulations on Raising £300 which has been equally divided between the two Charities Help for Heroes and Katherine House Hospice.
Big thanks also to those who helped with decorating the pub and especially to Mark for arranging the big screen.
The band "The Backroom Boys" certainly joined in the spirit of the event and the old time sing along songs were certainly well recieved. I didn't know we had so many crooners.
Unfortunately I forgot my camara so if anyone took photo's we would love to have a copy so we can post them here
BBQ and Blues Night

Local Boy Ross and his band provided excellent entertainment . we raised over £700 for the Help for Heroes charity which has been given to Dolly Westcott to assist in her fantastic efforts.
New Year's Eve - 2010
Oh what a night. We had a fantastic evening with everyone having a go at the casino tables and then dancing the night away. Thanks to all those who joined in and especially to those who helped out with the tables and organisation.

Paella Night - Sat 14th November, 09
The evening was an outstanding success, not one bad comment has been received and indeed with the quality of food that Sam produced from his small kitchen I am not suprised. One of the guests admitted to being a bit of a connoiseur and described the Mussels as "superb".
It was a fantastic village atmosphere attended by all ages, this made for varied banter and joviality.
How does Sam serve so many at once out of that kitchen?
